Givenchy teased its followers on Twitter yesterday with a tweet that said “Guess who? The new face of #Givenchy, revealed tomorrow”. I don’t know about you, but I’d recognise that ponytail any day. For those of you who’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years, that’s Grammy Award winner, Ariana Grande.

The Thank U, Next singer pretty much verified it when she posted this on her Instagram, a few hours after Givenchy’s tweet and Givenchy replied to it with a black heart emoji. Which basically confirms everything, so I put my Nancy Drew thinking hat down to rest.

Grande is a pop icon in her own right, which is why we think she’s an ideal choice for Givenchy. And frankly, she could really use a win. From the passing of of her ex-boyfriend to the unfortunate violent attack at her concert at Manchester Arena and the dissolution of her engagement to SNL comedian, Pete Davidson, the pop star has been through a lot in the last couple of years. But through it all, she’s managed to remain kind, deliver bops like 7 Rings and Thank U, Next and serve 10/10 looks like the Vera Wang dress she wore to the Met Gala in 2018.
