In New York's massive Pier 94, which sits by the edge of the Hudson River, Alexander Wang threw a smashing party to celebrate his first decade in fashion. Whether it was the clothes or the star-studded turnout (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West were among those lending their support from the front row), it didn't take much to remind us why Wang is one of the hottest designers in town right now.
From the opening number of a midriff top paired with striped pants on Lexi Boling to a deconstructed denim biker jacket, the collection is an affirmation of what Wang does best: Taking street influences and melding it with sportswear elements into clothes any Downtown girl would want for herself.
