In support of the Elephant Crisis Fund, Knot On My Planet and Loewe have teamed up on a limited-edition handbag. The elephant-shaped tote – the design of which has become something of a favourite on the street-style set – has been adapted for this campaign by featuring beadwork from the Samburu women from Northern Kenya. Meanwhile, the campaign has been fronted by supermodel and animal-rights activist, Doutzen Kroes.

All profits will go to helping to provide rapid, catalytic support for projects designed to stop the killing of elephants, thwart traffickers and end the demand of ivory.

The 'Meghan effect' is real. When Meghan Markle appeared alongside Prince Harry for their official engagement photocall yesterday, it was inevitable that her chosen outfit would cause a fashion frenzy. Her white wrap coat by Canadian label Line immediately caused their website to crash, while her favourite Aquazurra shoes were already sold out worldwide. But we managed to track down her earrings. The elegant, understated opal studs were courtesy of another Canadian label, jewellery brand Birks, and are currently available to buy online at Goldsmiths. They'd make the perfect Christmas present for a royalist (or a any jewellery fan, for that matter).
