Alexander McQueen’s pre-fall 2023 collection is sharp – in both a literal and figurative sense. Sleek silhouettes, precise tailoring and bold cutouts are the name of the game here, which BAZAAR brings to life in high-definition and full technicolour. Creative director Sarah Burton takes full liberty here in envisioning what McQueen looks like for the modern, everyday woman, using bright shades of pink and yellow quite liberally, subverting the darker undertones many have come to expect from the brand. But this is still quintessential McQueen, and subversive styling is still at the heart of every McQueen collection. Burton reimagines a denim jacket as a corset and reinvents a biker jacket as a bustier top, making this a wardrobe which will have you looking sharp no matter the occasion.
