Bella Hadid, a born and raised Cali girl, is the perfect fit for Nike's revamped classic California Cortez sneakers. The shoe, which originated in the '70s, celebrated its 45th anniversary at The Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday, with Hadid in tow.

The model announced her Cortez campaign two weeks ago when she debuted the retro, West Coast-inspired ads on Instagram. "NIKE OG CORTEZ CAMPAIGN! So honored to be the face of the 45th anniversary for a classic," she captioned the ads. One image featured the model dangling from a rooftop, showing off a pair of red, white and blue sneakers. She took the sneakers' "living on the edge" vibe to actual new heights.
