Bella Hadid Leads Givenchy's Sleek, Chic Y2K Show
Creative director Matthew Williams' latest runway show brings the luxe factor to the fore.
Williams' work at Givenchy continues to bring modernity to the house with ruched slinky dresses with gloves attached, denim separates and lots of bellybutton-exposing cropped tops. A bra top and low-slung denim skirt option looked killer on Bella Hadid but then when you have a body like hers, it’s not hard. Shoes were like laced-up corsetry for the feet - sharp and pointed, very grown-up.
Evening dresses aplenty, from full-on diamanté versions to dramatic black gowns with sweeping trains - both a key trend on the SS23 runways. Everything about this collection was bang-on trend and the styling of hoodie tops with cargo shorts and a slinky, blingy jacket on top brought the luxe factor to the fore. Fashion Y2K for the Gen Z audience with a taste for the chic.
Harper's BAZAAR Singapore also caught a glimpse of K-pop superstars Aespa outside the show.
