BOSS revisits its heritage codes for the multi-faceted, modern executive.

In the thick of Milan Fashion Week, BOSS took over 1,000 guests into the brand’s utopic vision. Think Gattaca, the sci-fi cult favourite that has stood the test of time. In the near future, BOSS suggests for us to wear a chic jacket designed with a double-breasted cut that comes with a zipper opening at the back (worn by Gigi Hadid as the opening look), different iterations of cowl-neck shift dresses with suit pockets that make them look like suit-dress hybrids and a super spiffy long coat worn by Liu Wen as the closing look.

And in between those, the team at BOSS cleverly managed to infuse many techniques into a collection that Marco Falcioni, SVP of Creative Direction at HUGO BOSS, dubs “CorpCore”: slashing, draping, cinching and layering, while keeping the brand’s long and lean silhouette intact. The skirts, belted and always knee-length or below. The trousers, roomy and breaking into pointy court pumps; and at times morphing into ‘spants’ (skirt-pants, a new portmanteau—you heard it here first), where they came with flap extensions so they look like long skirts from the front and pants from behind. The boardroom theme was extended to accessories too, with standard-issue office stationery like paper clips and pens, and details such as numerical locks, added an unexpected finish to the looks.

As a brand that successfully stands at the intersection of commerciality and creativity, BOSS always stays on the right lane. In recent seasons, BOSS has managed to find the right formula that mixes spectacle with sensibility—there was no shortage of celebrities and influencers attending the event.

Lee Min-ho, the brand’s ambassador and the evening’s guest-of-honour, was the first to enter the BOSS Techtopia, which saw six themed rooms located within the runway loop. EXO's Suho, who was recently announced as a new ambassador for the brand, was also in attendance; along with the likes of guests including Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse, Simu Liu, Demi Lovato and Sonam Kapoor.
