13 Things Camila Cabello Would Buy Again

Camila Cabello doesn’t like to define her style by a single word or even a single aesthetic. Instead, she’d rather be, “a different girl every day,” she tells me. One moment she’s the prepster; the next, she’s a goth. Right now she's the new face of the Victoria's Secret Bombshell perfume but still, “I’m different girls in every picture, every outfit,” the Grammy-nominated singer insists while discussing the campaign. If she had to sum up her look for the shoot it would be, “Very Latin bombshell,” she says before adding, “Not to be on the nose! Loud, fun, but still fresh.”

Clearly, experimenting with style isn’t only for her red carpet appearances or her judging gig on The Voice. But while Cabello’s on-stage, on-air outfits are for standing out as much as possible, “If I’m going out or going to a party I want to be more low key—I don’t want to get recognized,” she laughs. Not that dressing comfortably or casually means she’s not being herself. For her, purchases only get the green light when they’re pure self-expression. She gives the example of a hypothetical, dream party shoe that’s a walkable work of art: “If I’m feeling nervous but I walk into the party with these shoes, and I already feel like I’m being myself before a word comes out of my mouth, that’s when it’s worth it.”

All the actual, non-hypothetical items that represent Cabello best are the ones she’s bought herself. When shopping takes her in the direction of something “too extra” to wear with her friends IRL, she’ll send her stylist a photo to save for a professional appearance later. And her favorites aren’t limited to fashion. In fact, she’s a beauty obsessive who edited her list twice during our interview to add more skincare and makeup to the lineup. Ahead, see the Lucky 13 items that are always in Cabello’s rotation, no matter which look she’s embracing for the day.

Michelle Hoops, $568, Jennifer Fisher

"I wear hoops every single day, and especially gold hoops. I love gold hoops. [Jennifer Fisher] hoops feel so high quality and they have so many different textures. Some are heavier and more chunky and make you feel like a goddess, and some are thinner and more low key, but they're all so good."

Bombshell Magic Eau de Parfum, $117.38, Victoria's Secret

“I love the smell of Bombshell Magic. My sister wears the Bombshell collection all the time, so it’s the perfect new fragrance to gift her this year.”

Sweet Clay Lip Mask, $31.89, Sara Happ

Amazon

"At one point, I used this every day. It super moisturizes your lips. I'd put it on in the morning before I headed out to start my day because it kind of looks like lip gloss, but it's so hydrating that at the same time it's like a perfect chapstick. Then at night, when I'm in slug form and I put all my creams on, I'd wake up and have the softest lips."

Flip Flops, around $78, TKEES

TKEES

"I'm from Miami, [and] everybody from Miami just wears flip flops. These are my favorite brand. They're so cute and sleek and they make my feet look so pretty. And they're so comfy. I have the cream ones and the black ones."

Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants, $27.91, Milkweed Editions

"I only have two tattoos, and this book [inspired] one of them. It's on my neck. It's all about indigenous wisdom as it relates to the natural world, and I learned so much about how in indigenous traditions what their relationship is to the natural world and how beautiful and how much more fulfilling it is. [...] There's so many beautiful things you learn about animals and plants and cool things that happen in the natural world that made me see things differently."

Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 Limited Edition, $58, Supergoop!

"I found this while shopping at a store that's all organic skincare products and makeup products. I love it because it's clear and sometimes I don't want a tinted moisturizer or sunscreen. I just want to see my real skin. This has really high coverage and when it goes on, it blends into your skin and doesn't look oily at all."

Magic Myst 4-in-1 Universal Elixir, $27.53, In Common

"I spray this on my hair every time I get out of the shower. This was the first year I've ever dyed my hair—I dyed it a lighter color—and my hair is the healthiest it's ever been. Even if I don't wash my hair I'll spray this on right before bed and it's super moisturizing."

Atmosphere Protection Cream, $67.37, OSEA

REVOLVE

"I love the brand OSEA; it's female founded, and everything is totally organic. They're very conscious of the planet, and I use so many of their products. This atmosphere protection cream … I'd never heard of a product like this before, but it makes so much sense to me. Whenever I go outside, especially in a city where there's a lot of pollution, it protects your skin against harsh things in the atmosphere."

32 Oz Wide Mouth w/ Straw Lid, $36.48, Hydro Flask

Amzaon

"This keeps water really, really cool. It has a little handle you can carry it with. It makes me feel so good to not throw away water bottles whether they're plastic or paper. A reusable one is so easy, and having water in a metal thing, I really feel like it makes water taste better."

Makeup Lash Paradise Mascara, $23.14, L'Oréal Paris

Amazon
10 of 13

"I've worn this mascara probably since I was 14. I don't wear mascara every day, but if I'm just trying to give myself a little extra pep in my step, I'll put on mascara, some lip gloss, and maybe some tinted moisture. This mascara is so good and not clumpy, and the shape of the brush really makes my lashes look fake."

S1 Dual Voltage White Rotating Curling Iron, around $211, Beachwaver

Beachwaver

"Sarah Potempa, the creator of the Beachwaver, is a hairstylist I work with a lot. She used it on me today, and I have these gorgeous beach waves. I know how to curl my hair if I need to, but I try not to put heat on it if I'm not working. But I do love this. You press a button, and it does it for you, which is great. Without the button, it can take a long time—and it's an arm workout."

Art Club Sweatpant, $137.54, The Mayfair Group

Revolve
12 of 13

"I wear these literally all the time. I wear them to sleep, I wear them to the airport, I wear them to the studio. They're so cute. The Mayfair Group has all these beautiful, empathic designs, and they all come in sets. They're my favorite sweat combo: They're so comfy and so cute. No matter how many times I throw them in the wash, they're perfect."

"Patrick Ta is one of my close friends, and he's a makeup artist who works with me frequently. I love his makeup line. His blush is my favorite blush, and I also love his body oil. It's so shimmery and sparkly. It's called 'oil,' but it isn't oily. It's really moisturizing."
