Jennie, Paris Hilton And The Sartorial Renaissance Of Villa Noailles At Chanel Spring/Summer 2024
Your ticket to journey to the South of France from the heart of Paris.
For Spring/Summer 2024, the latest Chanel collection transported its audience to Villa Noailles—an architectural manifesto nestled within the hills of Hyères.
Unveiled within the Grand Palais Éphémère—with front-row guests and ambassadors that included Blackpink's Jennie, Chinese pop icon Wang Yibo, and French top model Caroline de Maigret—creative director Virginie Viard took inspiration from the villa’s pure and simple lines of its modernist setting this season to produce a series of looks that celebrated the Maison’s longstanding ties to the century-old destination in the South of France.
Amongst the many influences of the collection that informed Viard’s designs were the villa’s original matriarch Marie-Laure de Noailles’s group gym classes back in the day for sportswear elements, Mademoiselle Coco Chanel’s notable penchant for nautical themes, and the freedom of art de vivre that diaphanous and voluptuous silhouettes bring.
