Channel 'Bridgerton' Star Nicola Coughlan's Power-Petite Style With These Looks

Coughlan tends to go lighter on accessories and she leaves the outfit to do most of the talking. But when in Paris, it never hurts to channel a little bit of Bridget Bardot’s French-Girl chicness through an oversized headband and a miniskirt combo.

A LBD is a wardrobe staple that can do no wrong. Coughlan uses textures such as the ruffles and the poofy sleeves to add a sense of dynamism into this look. Plus, her legs look way longer because of the short hemline of the dress. Now, that is how you work an outfit.

Since it was her first appearance on one of her favourite shows, Rupaul’s Drag Race UK, Coughlan wanted to incorporate bows into her fit based off two iconic looks worn by Rupaul and Drag Race Alum Alaska. Her cute demeanour surely does pull it off well.

Follow Coughlan’s example and gravitate towards a denim dress with interesting sleeves. The puffed sleeves add volume to the overall look and it creates an illusion of broader shoulders without the need of shoulder pads.  

Yet another great example of how Coughlan adds dimension to her looks. The square neckline shows just enough skin while bringing in a retro flare to the triangular trapeze dress. The black beret and tips of the booties also tie up the mod look perfectly.

Printed garb speak a thousand words. The faded damask details pop against the muted green and beige colour palette and it livens up the structured blazer.

Wearing an oversized dress can be challenging because it can look like it's overwhelming you. No one wants a “the dress is wearing you” situation but somehow, Coughlan ends up looking like an ethereal princess.
