Ciara and Russell Wilson‘s nuptials at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire may just be the wedding of the summer. Naturally, a modern fairy tale wedding at an actual castle needs an au courant fairy godmother–like Cavalli designer Peter Dundas, who created a custom-made long-sleeve gown with a deep V-neckline, composed of white silk tulle, fully embroidered with floral, wheat and hummingbird motifs throughout, and delicate glass beading, covered entirely with precious Chantilly lace appliqué. We got a sneak peek inside Ciara’s bridal suite the morning of her wedding to NFL superstar Russell Wilson for a close-up on her gown’s stellar details and some sweet moments between the bride and Dundas just before she walked down the aisle.

For a sentimental touch, the dress’ train featured the new couple’s monogramed initials, and the matching custom-made silk tulle veil was embellished along its perimeter with the same Chantilly lace floral pattern as the gown. To accessorise the look but not compete with her all-lace gown and trimmed veil, Ciara donned a custom pair of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes for the day. The pair was a simple white satin mid-heel sandal with a thick lace ankle strap. Ciara is the first notable name to wear a Cavalli Couture by Peter Dundas wedding gown down the aisle, but after seeing this look, we’re certainly hoping she’s not the last.
