America’s original house of leather celebrates its 75th Anniversary in the Big Apple with a big bang

Famed American retailer Coach fêted its 75th birthday at Pier 94 in New York City on 9 December with a dual-gender women’s and men’s fashion show and party, featuring musical sets by guest DJs Mark Ronson and Lolawolf.
With the recent opening of the first Coach House global flagship stores on New York City’s Fifth Avenue, and across the Pond on Regent Street in London — along with the relocation of its headquarters to the newest addition to Manhattan’s skyline at 10 Hudson Yards near Hell’s Kitchen — the American house of leather has a lot of milestone achievements to celebrate.
Guests including actors Dree Hemingway; Zoë Kravitz; Emma Roberts; and musicians Diplo; Dua Lipa and Soko were at capacity during the presentation of the women’s pre-fall and men’s fall 2017 collections.
On the runway, Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers presented a vision of American optimism — marrying West Coast cool with East Coast edge; resulting in nostalgic retro graphics like rocket ships and varsity tailoring — hallmarks of an American dream so synonymous with the Big Apple.
