We all need reliable pieces of lingerie. But we also want undergarments that have a little fun, ensuring that every element of our outfit truly reflects how we’re feeling. With this in mind, finding lingerie that is chic and supportive to fit a bigger bust isn't always easy. And though many brands that offer extended sizing tend to keep their styles simple and built for purpose, there are a few that aren't afraid to combine utility and style. Ahead, 17 brands that are doing exciting things in the plus-size lingerie world, accompanied by my favorite pieces from their current collections.

Fleur du Mal

Fleur du Mal is one of the only high-end, luxury lingerie brands to produce pieces in sizes bigger than the typical 36DD so many brands stop at. The brand recently joined forces with one of my favorite models, Precious Lee, and created a four-piece capsule collection that features some of the sexiest lingerie I have ever seen, with the standout piece, the Lily Longline Demi Bra, available up to a size 44G.

Parade

Parade has made a name for itself in the lingerie world as an affordable, inclusive, and fun brand. Its manifesto reads, “Sexiness isn’t one-dimensional—it’s a voice, it’s a feeling, it’s a Technicolor mirror that reflects whoever is holding it.” And that’s exactly what you can expect: a Technicolor reflection of the world today. With fortnightly product drops and collaborations that include Juicy Couture and Bite BeautyCami Tellez, their 23-year-old CEO, is setting a new standard for the lingerie industry

Savage x Fenty

Never has there been such a broad range of lingerie available for plus-size individuals. It’s one thing to have bras and knickers, but to have slips, bodysuits, garter belts, and so much more available in extended sizing is a real testament to the Savage x Fenty ethos of celebrating fearlessness, confidence, and inclusivity put in place by Rihanna.

Hara

It’s not easy to find sustainable brands that make plus-size lingerie, and it's even more rare to find ones that do while remaining affordable. Allie Cameron founded Hara in 2016 with the aim to create pieces that are soft and beautiful, with sustainable and ethical practices at their core.

Playful Promises

Lawyer-turned-fashion entrepreneur Emma Parker is the woman behind the popular lingerie brand Playful Promises. Priding itself on offering quirky, inclusive, quality-driven lingerie, the brand has been working with fashion blogger Gabi Fresh to create stylish pieces that go up to a 44H and that are noted for their support, due to the dual shoulder straps and full cups.

Jonesy

If ever there were a cool girl of the lingerie world, I’m pretty sure it would be Jonesy. Its name is a vibe, its color palette is a vibe, its still life product imagery features some of my favorites things (bread and fruit)—I mean, the brand has a lot going for it.

Founder Rachel Jones wanted to create comfortable pieces for women in the A-C cup range (yes, plus-size women can still fall into this category) while keeping price points accessible and appealing primarily to the millennial market. Though I’m a US 18 and its biggest size, XXL, fits me perfectly, the brand could look to increase its size range to ensure more of the plus community can participate in its cool-girl vibes.

Marks & Spencer

Quintessentially British brand Marks & Spencer is known for its extensive lingerie collection. Perhaps previously known more for the utility behind its product, when it introduced its permanent line with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley a few years back, it also fully solidified itself as a connoisseur of style within the lingerie world.

Soma

Fusing fashion with function, the Soma team design everything from bras to knickers to loungewear that reflect the modern woman, ensuring pieces are equal parts comfortable and sophisticated. It's no small feat to create a bra that is so comfortable and supportive customers forget it's on.

JBC Lingerie

“Size does not dictate sex-appeal” is written in all capital letters on the JCB Lingerie website. The brand makes it very clear that “no matter your shape, race, age, gender, sexuality; you deserve to feel sexy and like a total goddamn babe.” And I’m here for it. Body positive lingerie that empowers you, while ensuring your maximum comfort—can it get any better than this?

Actually, it can. Not sure if something is going to fit? Drop them an email, and they will create something especially for your measurements at no extra cost. One word describes this brand: pioneers.

Oola

Oola might be new on the lingerie scene, but its founders, Sarah Maskell and Tiggy Derham, are not, with more than 20 years of design and plus-size retail experience between them—think Victoria’s Secret, Evans, and Marks & Spencer. Determined to “transform the accessibility of stylish, contemporary and colourful underwear in the plus size market,” Oola has around 30 signature pieces currently on its site, all made in their female-owned and -run factory. I’m very excited to see more from the newly relaunched brand.

Calvin Klein

I suppose you wouldn't normally refer to Calvin Klein as a lingerie brand per se, but I had to include it in this edit, as its iconic two-piece set is now available in plus sizes and additional colorways, finally giving curvy customers the opportunity to pose in their Calvins.

Figleaves

What started off as a curation of premium lingerie brands offering a diverse range of sizes has evolved into an incredible online platform that now includes the host's own brand, with offerings focused on the transformative power of great fitting lingerie and swimwear. The Figleaves site has something for everyone, whether it be “pretty and practical” or “flirty and fashion-forward.”

Chitè

To put it simply, Chitè is here to disrupt and bring about a revolution in the lingerie industry. Founded by designers Federica Tiranti and Chiara Marconi, Chitè alongside the releases of its signature pieces has created MyChitè, a custom-made platform that makes the brand the “first lingerie brand to offer a customer experience based on custom-made products. That’s right, you can design your own premium underwear from a brand that is committed to considered craftsmanship, so you know that the pieces you design are forever pieces." Custom bras start at $120.

Rigby & Peller

Rigby & Peller was established in 1939 by two female corsetieres, Bertha Rigby and Gita Peller, with design and craftsmanship at the heart of the brand. 1982 saw husband-and-wife retail duo Harold and June Kenton, who the U.K. media also referred to as the Queen of Bras, due to her technique of fitting by eye, purchase the business, leading it to become one of the most iconic British lingerie brands. Pieces are “meticulously designed to embrace customers' curves and accentuate their natural elegance.” It’s fairly obvious why they’ve made it onto my lingerie edit.

Curvy Kate

Curvy Kate’s products are grounded in comfort and focus on shaping and lifting the female form. With a line that starts at a D cup and that currently ends at K, its products are specifically made for the curvy market, giving so many women the attention to detail their lingerie so desperately needs. Did we mention the brand also has a swimwear line?

Bravissimo

Since inception, Bravissimo has aimed to inspire and celebrate women with bigger cup sizes. Twenty-five years on, the brand is still creating reliable and chic pieces made in sizes up to a 40L.

The Noire Collective

Though The Noire Collective will be launching later this year, I thought it important to still include in this edit, as its founder, Ruth Wright-Palmer, is creating something truly special. With products keeping ultimate comfort and sustainability in mind, this Black-owned business's signature styles will be available in cup sizes D to K. From the imagery I’ve seen so far, it’s clear that the brand loves to feature and work with truly authentic people, meaning its brand identity feels fresh and real. Also, I love the fact that a portion of its sales will go to chosen charities Stop Hate UK and the body: a home for love.
