The House of Dior has partnered with the Venetian Heritage Foundation to co-host the Tiepolo Ball—a charity gala reconnecting with Dior’s heritage, reviving the House’s love for lavish dress balls and honouring the inextricable link between Dior and Venice.

Held at the legendary Palazzo Labia on May 11 in conjunction with the opening of the Venice Biennale, the Tiepolo Ball marked the foundation’s 20th anniversary and functioned as a fundraiser for the restoration and promotion of Venice’s cultural heritage.

The meaningful event paid tribute to the golden era of Baroque and the iconic “Ball of the Century” held by Charles de Beistegui at the same historic palazzo in 1951. Among esteemed guests in attendance were couturier Christian Dior himself and Salvador Dali who designed costumes for the occasion.

The charity dinner, complete with extravagant furnishings and a magical performance by Italian-Croatian artist Parolabianca, saw dancers and stilt walkers in luminous costumes inspired by the night sky and 12 signs of the zodiac.

Besides working with Italian artist Pietro Ruffo on the performers’ costumes, Maria Grazia Chiuri also collaborated with renowned Venetian heritage textile manufacturers, Bevilacqua and Rubelli, on fabric research and exclusive designs for the muses and friends of Dior, including Karlie Kloss, Sienna Miller, and Dasha Zhukov.
