This season, Maria Grazia Chiuri continued her exploration of femininity. From the witches of the Middle Ages to the Parisiennes of 19th-century France, Chiuri presented a collection inspired by unconventional female figures from history.

Set against an immersive video installation by artist Elena Bellatoni at the Tulleries, the show venue saw stereotypical advertising from the past contrasted with striking statements like “I Don’t Belong To Anyone Else,” “My Body Is Not A Product” and “I Am Not Your Doll” plastered across its walls.

Models walked down a fuchsia and yellow runway in medieval silhouettes rendered in sheer gowns, lace dresses, tattered knits, off-the-shoulder shirts and frayed edge tailoring in largely black, white, and neutral shades—underscoring the collection's rebellious spirit and conveying a dark edginess.
