Dreams And Reality Collide In Gucci's SS16 Ad Campaign
Let Gucci take you on a surreal journey into Berlin with their SS16 ad campaign
Alessandro Michele takes us to surreal Berlin with Gucci's SS16 ad campaign - where anything is possible, including skateboarding through the corridor of a shopping centre whilst clutching a stuffed peacock. German 80s pop culture inspires this campaign, photographed by Glen Luchford. He captures a carefree, no-holds-barred kind of tone that also plays with contrasts. The models are adorned in luxurious materials and vibrant colours, yet they carry with them a certain melancholia. Berlin becomes the perfectly whimsical stage for poetic representations of youth culture.
