Online luxury retailer Farfetch has joined forces with Byronesque, the authority in contemporary-vintage fashion, for an exciting addition to the platform’s current fashion offering. An 11-piece womenswear capsule collection that pays homage to French designer Claude Montana.

Claude Montana revolutionised fashion in the 1980s with his clever combination of creativity, bold silhouettes, craftsmanship and theatrics. The collection, which launched globally on February 12, marks the first time that landmark pieces from the designer’s previous collections have been available in 20 years.

Spanning ready-to-wear and accessories, the collection showcases a breadth of Montana’s signature designs and techniques from as early as 1979 – 1994. Byronesque has re-issued a collection that is true to Montana’s original design codes, sourcing archival pieces as reference and using many of the same manufacturers who worked with Montana the first time around.

“This collection really brings to life the fact that Farfetch offers lovers of fashion an unrivalled range of incredible pieces you cannot find anywhere else in the world. Byronesque has worked tirelessly to again bring to life a unique, curated edit with such a rich heritage, to our global audience. The collection is the perfect homage to Montana’s iconic years and we are honoured to unveil this collection to our customers,” explained Giorgio Belloli, chief commercial and sustainability officer at Farfetch.
