But now, there's a new design to represent the brand. The label revealed a new logo on Instagram this morning, describing it as "a return to the spirit of the original" and "an acknowledgement of the founder and foundations of the fashion house." Perhaps it's a sign that, although the label has welcomed a new creative director, Raf Simons, it hasn't lost touch of its roots.

The logo was made in collaboration with art director and graphic designer Peter Saville, whom Simons was inspired by and worked with for the Fall 2003 collection of his eponymous menswear line. Over a decade later, the designers' relationship continues.

After making his NYFW: Men's debut this week for his own line, Simons is expected to show his first collection for Calvin Klein on February 10. Maybe the collection, much like the logo, will serve as both a modern change and a tribute to the past.
