In recent years, the idea of trends trickling down from luxury fashion brands and making its way into high street brands’ collections have all but disappeared. What we’re seeing now are collaborations between high fashion brands and designers with masstige brands—such as The North Face x Gucci Collection, Ambush X BVLGARI and Uniqlo +J collections—especially in the last year.

Converse, in particular, has lined up collaborations with Kim Jones, Telfar Clemens, Comme des Garçons Play, Off-White and Tyler, The Creator for 2021—an unprecedented feat. Previous partnerships from the Nike-owned brand include Fear Of God, Ambush, Golf Le Fleur, A-Cold-Wall*, Carhartt, Moncler and Hiroshi Fujiwara.
