Disney Partners With local labels Carrie K and Rêvasseur

Prior to the movie release of Disney’s Alice through the Looking Glass in Singapore on 6th July 2016, Disney has collaborated with local fashion talents: Carrie K and Rêvasseur to celebrate the well-known rabbit-hole journey and its larger-than-life characters. The collections will be showcased in a fashion runway event in the foyer of Shaw Lido at 3pm on 2 July.

Rêvasseur has immersed themselves in the colourful euphoria of the movie. The collection, “Curioser and Curioser”, taps into the visual melodrama of the surrealist movement and the Big-Small duality – a key theme in the movie – that follows Alice through her journey in wonderland.

The Mad-hatter approved collection also features 16 outfits that were designed especially to express other narratives in the movie. The collection will be sold at Takashimaya and SUPERSPACE (located in Orchard Gateway).

 

Engaged with the concept of perspectives, Carrie K has created a collection that features the motif of the aforementioned theme in the movie; the Keyhole. Each jewellery is designed in such a way that the key hole shape is evident at certain angles.

The second collection: “Time” by Carrie K is centred around a key protagonist in the movie, Time (played by Sacha Baron Cohen). As such, clock gears were beautifully re-imagined by skilled artisans into earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Shop the collection at the Carrie K.
