To see a world in a grain of sand — or from the inside of an iconic trunk — both are incredible opportunities that the new Moynat Gallery opening in the heart of Takashimaya Shopping Centre will offer. The Gallery features a curved ceiling and lacquered panels in warm amber and leather accents modelled after the interior of its iconic Limousine trunk.  A purveyor of quintessential Parisian luxury, the House is known for its leather goods, accessories and textiles which capture the beauty of theatre, travel and adventure.

First established in 1849, the brand is no stranger to eminence, being the oldest Parisian trunk-making brand and the first to be helmed by a woman. While Moynat retains its immutable Parisian roots as embodied by its signature Art Deco clasps, the House infuses each collection with innovative touches from lightweight trunks to leather marquetry. There is a legendary emphasis on attention to detail lavished upon each piece created by Moynat — a culture created by its founder Pauline Moynat and embraced since its revival in 2011 by creative director Ramesh Nair. Each piece reportedly takes over 24 hours to craft by hand.
