Designed by Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Dior Women’s Fall 2023 collection also features elegant ensembles true to the Maison’s renowned reputation in haute couture, all while exalting the fine fabrics of Indian textile traditions in partnership with Karishma Swali, the managing director and creative director of Chanakya International and the Chanakya School of Craft in Mumbai.
What makes the collection stand out is intricate handcrafted embroidery, as well as colour-block sequences that are dedicated to silks. Shades of green, yellow, pink and purple are showcased through sophisticated evening coats, sari-inspired straight skirts and traditional Indian cuts, not to mention pants, boleros, jackets and tops.
Meanwhile, gold geometric shapes frame the silver sequins and strass while decorative concepts come alive on silky blouses, dresses and pajamas. Tunics, knotted skirts and draped dresses also make a statement in modern shapes, enhanced with flowers or checkered patterns.
