While we spend a lot of our summer in black maillots and easy linen trousers, sometime a girl needs a look with impact. Enter: Valentino's new capsule collection with Munich-based e-tailer, Mytheresa which is giving all of the psychedelic island oasis vibes we never knew we always needed. The lineup includes a range of silhouettes (think, caftans and featherweight button-ups), in a vibrant, yet wearable color palette.

Aptly called Escape 2021, the collection draws inspiration from the late 1960s, apparent in the kaleidoscope designs and coral motifs. Further embodying the retro feel, the storied maison tapped into its archives to revive a series of statement-making prints that it added to dresses, tops, towels, and beach totes. The 44-piece capsule, meant for both men and women, also features an assortment of accessories with tropical features like raffia and turquoise stone details.

For leather pieces, there are cognac-colored gladiator sandals and a revamped iteration of the Italian label's cult Supervee bag. Often, when we think of Valentino, it is the gorgeous gowns Pierpaolo Piccioli and the house's founder, Valentino Garavani are synonymous with, but Valentino is also very much a pret-a-porter label—and nothing drives that home quite like a lineup that we're ready to pack up and head to the chicest, nearest beach in.
