Gucci Has Released The Coolest DIY Project Ever
You can now customise your bag exactly the way you want it
This just in: Gucci is giving us grown-up children and the children at heart a DIY project that is the embodiment of all our Nineties fashion dreams.
The Italian luxury brand is launching a new personalisation service, Gucci DIY (Do It Yourself), that allows customers to set their creative juices flowing to fashion a Dionysus bag that bears their own distinct mark. Inspired by Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s philosophy that men and women should feel authentic and be free to express themselves, the project will allow the addition of various embroideries, trims, hardware and monogrammed initials to the house's iconic Dionysus bag. Just think of all the motifs from Gucci's bountiful garden that can now be added!
The Gucci DIY service will be launched on 25 May in Milan at the Gucci flagship store on via Montenapoleone, and will be rolled-out globally at other Gucci boutiques in major fashion cities in the near future.
Talks are also currently underway to extend the Gucci DIY service to Gucci's Ace sneakers and Princetown shoes as well as men's and women's ready to wear pieces and Gucci's men's made to order program. Exciting times ahead.
