Gucci's Menswear Show Blurs Gender Lines

Ambiguity

It's official: gender ambiguity is the new in, and Gucci scored full marks last night on the runway. A frilly pussy-bow blouse on a man? Alessandro Michele makes it look anything but tacky. An ostentatious matching bright printed suit? Trust Michele to get it done as well. The house's fashion show for menswear in Milan last night was sugar, spice, and everything nice, with a whole lot of materials from lace to suede to crocheting and floral details.

We especially loved how Michele also got inspiration from Asian values, as evident from the numeral oriental print and silk seen. Love or hate it, we think some of the pieces might actually be a hit among women as well. A brilliant nod to gender blurring.
