Iris Van Herpen Couture Fall 2019

This season, futuristic couturier Iris Van Herpen delved into kinetic technicalities and worked with American kinetic sculptor Anthony Howe, whose creations are powered by the wind.

Vibrating, rotating and twisting elements were weaved into the presentation, yielding an utterly hypnotic performance. Van Herpen also incorporated the Japanese art of marbling: suminagashi, which was rendered in her signature line print and laser cuts that vibrated with every movement. Beautiful, compelling and wonderfully fantastical.
