Olivia Palermo made a dramatic entrance at the Love Ball on Friday evening, sweeping into the event wearing a striking Giambattista Valli ensemble. The 32-year-old had heads turning as she arrived in the red outfit complete with parachute-like train that billowed behind her.
Palermo amped up the drama by adding a pair of animal-print fringed heels, a choker and black clutch. She made quite a statement when it came to her beauty look too, choosing crimson eyeshadow and slicked-back hair.

“Bringing you all the fashion drama, live from Doha!” the entrepreneur quipped on Instagram alongside a snap of her evening ensemble.
The outfit comes courtesy of Giambattista Valli’s autumn/winter 2018 couture collection, complete with the Italian designer’s signature theatrical flair. First seen on the runway last summer, it features a top with balloon sleeves that cascade into the impressive train tucked into a pair of matching tapered trousers.
It’s the perfect choice for such a luxurious event, thrown in aid of Natalia Vodianova’s charity, the Naked Heart Foundation, and Al Shafallah at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar. While we’re used to seeing Palermo in a sleek wardrobe of separates when in her home city of New York, this is a bold look that takes her outside of her comfort zone.
