Come September 24, Bottega Veneta will stage its Spring/Summer 2017 runway show in Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. It’s a big occasion for Bottega Veneta—not only will the brand celebrate its 50th anniversary, the show will mark Maier’s 15th year as Creative Director at the House.
There’s another meaningful reason behind the decision to hold it at the Accademia: Bottega Veneta is working closely with the institution through an educational program that provides scholarships to students in the new academic year.
Maier will present collections for both men and women, and models and guests alike will file past the Accademia’s corridors filled with beautiful sculptures and artworks. “Bottega Veneta is about the creative work of the hand. To celebrate my 15th anniversary, and the 50th of the House, I am happy to stage our show at the Accademia, and to do so in the presence of all the artisans and people who have supported us,” Maier explains.
