Everyone's favourite Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw once quipped, “I am not afraid of heights, have you seen my shoes?” This memorable statement, along with several others, will soon be preserved in stylised script through Kalligraphia, a joint exhibition between luxury footwear label Kurt Geiger and local handwritten typography specialists Craft Varies.

The live calligraphy exhibit will see Clarence Valerius Wee from Craft Varies artfully etch out witty quotes about heels, with heels—the iconic Kurt Geiger metal pin stilettos, to be precise. Held at the Kalligraphia artisanal corner, which will be set up in various locations throughout September and October, the installation will also allow stiletto fans to customise their limited edition calligraphy piece with a frame bearing their own initials. The handwritten token will be transcribed by the accomplished typographer Wee himself, giving each work a personal touch.

The Kalligraphia artisanal corner will be available at The Shoe Salon L2, Takashimaya Department Store on 26 and 27 September 2015 and the Kurt Geiger stand-alone store at The Shoppes, Marina Bay Sands on the weekends of October 2015.
