Cannes Film Festival, undoubtedly the most glamorous film festival in the world, kicks off today. Naturally, we are rejoicing because we'll be treated to a 12-day feast for the eyes: a parade of exquisite fashion—from couture gowns to some stellar daytime ensembles.

The film festival commenced earlier today in the South of France with a meeting of this year's jurors—which happens to include three of our favorite style stars, Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett and Lea Seydoux. Now, this isn't the boring jury duty you've been avoiding since you registered to vote—these esteemed actresses (along with Ava Duvernay and other international directors) will help select the best films of the week. If there's one thing they've already agreed upon, it's that you can always rely on a good suit.

So we're taking notes from these ladies on how best to rock a suit for day.

Kristen Stewart in Chanel

Stewart has always had a laidback approach to style, but being a Chanel ambassador at all—she gets to play dress up a lot. Her powered blue tweed suit feels elevated yet playful for her daytime engagement. Paired with a plain white tank, and white sandals, she's ready to hit la croisette (that's the strip where all the premieres take place, FYI). What really seals the deal though, is the hair—a '40s-inspired pompadour. This look could feel prim on another actress, but Stewart always bring a little edge to her red carpet appearances.

The Australian actress is undoubtedly one of our favorite style queens of Cannes film festival. She's a true fashion chameleon, so you never really know what to expect from her. For this morning's jury photocall, she kept it buttoned up—literally. Taking inspiration from Dior's new look silhouette, the peplum jacket is the star of this two piece, so there's no need for a base underneath.

Lea Seydoux in Louis Vuitton

Last but certainly not least, Seydoux brought a French sensibility to daytime suiting. The actress added a billowy white tie-neck blouse (left undone of course) to her emerald green two-piece. This polished look was balanced by a pair of major two-tone pumps and studded detail. As usual, Seydoux brings that je ne sais quoi to every look.
