La Perla Announces New Creative Director
Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenço is the Italian lingerie giant's latest appointment
The Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenço is the new creative director of La Perla. He will show his first collection for the autumn/winter 2016 season.
"I have always admired La Perla," said Lourenço. "I am fascinated by the early days of the brand: a small atelier focusing on corsetry made to the highest standards and designed to enhance the beauty of women… [the founder Ada Masotti] changed the way the world thinks of lingerie. I am amazed by the philosophy she created and I want to bring it back today."

Lourenço–a Paris Fashion Week designer who launched his namesake label at the young age of 15–will be responsible for the lines of lingerie, sleepwear, beachwear, loungewear, accessories, menswear and the Atelier collection.
"The talent, style and creative maturity of Pedro Lourenço are the reasons for our choice," La Perla chairman Silvio Scaglia announced.
