When we think of polos, we immediately think of Lacoste. Founded by French tennis champion, René Lacoste, in 1933, the preppy staple may have claimed fame on the green courts, but the brand and its signature piece have since evolved.

While some of us strive to be the Lacoste-clad tennis stars such as Novak Djokovic, the rest of us aspire to channel Margot Tenenbuam (Gwyneth Paltrow)—striped polo, fur coat, complete with a sleek lob. Polo t-shirts have not only made their marks on the courts and on big screen, but have gone onto the spring/summer 2018 runway shows too, where brands styled the humble polo layered over pleated skirts for a fresh spin or worn oversized for a nonchalant take.

This year, as Lacoste celebrates its 85th birthday, the brand will present its unique heritage and innovation at an exhibition designed in tribute to the founder, René Lacoste. Fashioned in the noble French colours of red, blue and white, the 112 square-meter structure is based on the 85th anniversary logo—simple and elegant, reflecting that of the savoir faire of the French.

Discover the history of the iconic brand and the evolution of the renowned L.12.12 through eight decades of Lacoste on interactive activities within the exhibition space.

That's not all! To commemorate this special occasion, Lacoste has created a special anniversary capsule collection which perfectly embodies the brand's 85 years in chic, contemporary pieces such as polos, polo dresses, sweatshirts, and backpacks.

Shoppers visiting the exhibition can stand to win a chance to win a  wardrobe makeover and a gift with purchase, when they answer to a simple quiz on-site.
