If the soundtrack to Steven Spielberg’s original '90s Prehistoric cult masterpiece, Jurassic Park, was any indication of Ashley Williams’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection, then surely the set at her show was very telling of her latest offering.

Half-eaten beans on toast, stuffed toys, towers of books in utter disarray, peeling posters and tear sheets of '90s heartthrob River Phoenix plastered everywhere, and empty wine bottles on a darling pink bed fit for a princess—paraphernalia of the not-so-average English home. Welcome to Williams’s childhood bedroom—a place between reality and fantasy that exists in teenage imagination.

Opening the show is the infamous pink-haired Australian, Fernanda Ly, of Nicolas Ghesquière/Louis Vuitton-fame—dressed in a full-sleeved tunic with Phoenix’s face as a decal, peeking through a beaded tassel brassiere. Here lies the designer’s love affair with said Hollywood pin-up in full unadulterated display.

Along with the radical clothing choices, the accessories stood out as covetable highlights of the show as well. With lust-worthy drop earrings in sexuality symbols and Victorian-inspired brogues, to hair barrettes, all adorned in dazzling diamantéproviding unlikely modern polish for the girls that live in the Central Saint Martins graduate’s clothes and most definitely an identical living situation.
