This morning, we woke up to a cheery photo on Instagram by way of Eva Chen, who announced some big news to the fashion world: Alber Elbaz just joined Instagram.
The universally-loved designer made his first post with—what else?—a selfie and proceeded to talk about why he decided to make his move. “HUGE hugs+BIG thanks ? to all of you around the world ?? for showing me so much L❤️VE. The day after my last show ????? in PARIS?? , I met with Kevin Systrom, the co-founder of Instagram. I joked and told him..”I don’t do Instagram because I don’t have ‘photogenic’ ?friends…only good FRIENDS ?? And I don’t take pictures of food…..I prefer to EAT ???
But this past 2 wks made me realize how many AMAZING friends+supporters ??? I have….And YES,they are all ‘photogenic’…because they are all BEAUTIFUL ‘inside-out’. ???

In other Instagram news, we also recently discovered Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele‘s account and it is as kooky as the collections he is sending out on the runway. Renaissance paintings, sculptures and some seriously amazing selfies abound and it’s definitely one that’s on our feed right now.
And another Instagram surprise: Zoolander—the #1 male model in the world—has also joined the social media platform to our immense delight. Can we expect more hilarious quotes and BlueSteel™ selfies? We certainly hope so!
