A change is coming at Loro Piana. The über-exclusive, fashion insider brand made a swift shift at their spring/summer 2023 presentation. The focal point of the collection was no longer only the cashmere the House is known for. This time, there was a grander gesture. It’s a tour of Italy, which included references like Piedmont—the House’s home base—as well as Tuscany and Portofino, and even the Aeolian islands, with looks designed for each destination.

The result was a collection made for a holiday in style. The soft linens, knits and denims were juxtaposed with leather, suede, and of course, cashmere. What was surprising was the silhouette—much more contemporary and youthful; something that was not part of the Loro Piana vocabulary prior. From the high-waisted jeans to the palazzo pants, there were more choices than before. Tops ran the gamut from granddad shirts and boxy blouses to beautiful parkas and anoraks—making for a refreshing collection from the House.
