For a collaboration featuring an established luxury brand like Louis Vuitton to be successful, the other half of the partnership must be equally as dedicated to its craft. So it comes as no surprise that the French fashion maison would enlist the expertise of Milan-based brand Fornasetti to create a collection as artful as it is chic. With everything from ready-to-wear to accessories, the highly anticipated capsule is a match made in Euro heaven.

Revered for its signature designs (think: images of antique keys and snippets of vintage portraits adorned on throw pillows or drink coasters) with the right amount of whimsy, the interior design label granted Louis Vuitton’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, full access to its archives. With 13,000 pieces to sift through, the team eventually landed on some of Fornasetti’s most recognizable prints: Its building silhouettes and beautiful lock motifs are splashed across the house’s core pieces, including an updated version of its Cannes bag. Also in the collection is the brand’s cult outerwear emblazoned with the new designs, as well as velvet dresses and shimmering blouses in the same prints.

With the current state of the world, the collaboration’s take on traditionalism not only presents everyday life in a more magical light, but it allows fans of both brands the opportunity to enjoy the familiar designs in a new way. For those who would prefer to see the collection in person, it’s available now in Louis Vuitton stores. So preview or shop at your leisure.
