Marc By Marc Jacobs Partners With Disney For Final Collection

Down the rabbit hole

Marc by Marc Jacobs fall 2015

Before this contemporary line is permanently shuttered into the main Marc Jacobs brand this spring, Marc by Marc Jacobs will retail its final collection that entails an exciting collaboration with Walt Disney Co.

This collaboration builds anticipation for the second movie in the Alice in Wonderland series, “Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There” premiering in 2016. This movie, starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia Wasikowska as she reprises her role as Alice, is already receiving the hype it deserves. It’s no wonder that the eccentricity of the Alice in Wonderland series becomes a source of inspiration for this New York luxury brand.

As reported by Women’s Wear Daily, the collection entitled “I Am Not Like Other Girls” includes sunglasses, totes, backpacks, phone cases, jewelry, watches, sweatshirts and more. Loosely inspired by the iconography from the classic fairytale, expect to see a lot of bows, flowers and hearts adorning the goods in this collection! And just like the title suggests, this collection is a sure celebration of individuality that is not uncommon to this brand known for its whimsical and quirky designs. Prices are ranged from $60 (SGD 80)  to $400 ( SGD 537) and will be available for purchase worldwide on November 1st.

This collection will also be released in conjunction with the sales of Marc Jacobs’ collection for Resort 2016 that is due to hit the stores between October to December. The Alice theme will also extend to Marc by Marc Jacobs’ send-off holiday window displays at select stores.
