Megan Fox‘s latest street style look further affirms the midriff-baring cardigan as one of summer’s hottest staples.
On Sunday, the actress was spotted stepping out in Los Angeles wearing a fiery, all-red ensemble embellished with gold accents. Styled by Maeve Reilly, the look featured a lone, ribbed-knit Jacquemus statement cardigan, enclosed by a single “Jacquemus“-scripted gold button, as well as a matching red midi pencil skirt—also by the designer. Fox accessorized with a coordinated red mini Mietis top-handle purse and gold ankle-strap sandals by FEMME LA. Keeping the look chic and dressy, she wore her long hair in her signature loose body waves.

Back in April, Fox showcased another statement cardigan look; that time, she opted for a preppy, slightly dressed-down fit, wearing Versace‘s abstract striped sweater over a white oversized button-down. She paired that look with another top-handle purse, a matching green one, in addition to a pair of black scaled Louboutin platform booties.
The revealing, one-button cardigan trend has made its rounds among other trendsetting celebrities, including Emily Ratajkowski, who, back in March, took to the streets in a revealing black Aya Muse cardigan that similarly bared her toned midriff—all while having just recently given birth to son Sylvester Apollo Bear, no less. In her own take on the trend, Hailey Bieber took to the L.A. streets last October wearing a nude cashmere Jacquemus cardigan, unbuttoned, over the brand’s matching nude bralette.

Fox remains entirely unapologetic about showing off her assets and leaning in to empowerment dressing. Last month, she opened up to Who What Wear about the tribulations of being typecast over her appearance early on in her career. “People were trying to hide me and make me less sexy so that I could be taken more seriously,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘I don’t give a fuck about that. I just want the look to be right.'”
Fox has certainly come correct with her latest bold look.
