The Met Gala was no match for Michelle Yeoh!
Themed “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” in honour of the late fashion designer, this year’s Met Gala saw dozens of A-list celebrities pay tribute to Lagerfeld’s decades in the fashion industry and stints at fashion houses ranging from Fendi to Chanel. Yeoh opted for a classic black-and-white ball gown from the designer’s namesake label with long, voluminous sleeves.

The gown reinvented Lagerfeld’s signature style with a white collar and buttons. The Academy Award-winning star completed her look with sparkly jewels and a sleek updo, subtly-smudged winged eyeliner, and a light pink lip gloss.
The elegant dress came with many intricate details, including an underlayer with a button-up silhouette and billowy organza sleeves. Over her one-piece skirt, Yeoh wore a belted train. Adding a touch of glam to the final look? Buckle-detailed platform boots.

This isn’t Yeoh’s first rodeo; last year, she arrived at the Gala wearing a sea-green Prabal Gurung dress with a spectacular cape. The off-the-shoulder cut of the dress was complemented by a stunning Tasaki necklace and Mimi So jewels.
