Milan Fashion Week: 10 Best Looks From Fendi Fall/ Winter 2020

Women can be powerful even in their most sensual, ladylike, and romantic moments

Fashion show goers in Milan are in for subtle political statements, it seems, and Fendi was no different. After Prada’s mix of conventionally male and female wardrobes earlier on in the day, Silvia Fendi also took to proving that women could be powerful even in their most sensual, ladylike, and romantic moments. Dresses with puff sleeves and illusion curved necklines, almost with their sleeves pulled down, were done in a myriad of fabrics and were just as strong in power pink silk as they were in velvet. Suiting was translated into vampy and edgy leather, where it would have been strictly professional in silk. And for evening, states of undress with lace laying beneath sheer organzas, lace, beading, and more proved that this same woman can embrace her power but also be sexy. Another standout? Fendi’s size-inclusive casting, which featured Jill Kortleve and Paloma Elsesser.

@Fendi @silviaventurinifendi is going all out feminine. The details, the fabric (lace, jacquard and of course fur and leather), the volume (drop shoulders and structuredXflowy) and the shape. Aaah…talk about shape, this rather intimate show (different from Fendi’s usual spectacles) features models of all body shapes, colours and age. We spot the likes of @palomija @misskarenelson @liyakebede @carolynmurphy @bellahadid @gigihadid The accessories: now that’s on a different level. From phone to cigarette case and lighter, they come gilded and deemed to be highly covetable. The accessories highlight also includes PeekABoo bags in different incarnations but our favourite is the shaggy wool Baguette.
