Models Fashion Week FW20

Between the COVID-19 outbreak, the chaotic crowds, and the sub-zero Northern Hemisphere temperatures, fashion month autumn/winter '20 was especially tiring—not least for the season's runway models.

The life of a model is often thought to be a glamorous one, involving an abundance of parties, designer clothes and celebrity meet-and-greets. In reality, any working model will tell you that the constant travel and month-long consecutive schedule leaves little room for downtime, and hitting the wall is almost expected.

Naturally, some of the biggest runway stars of the season took to social media to express their exhaustion, as well as their elation over the end of their month-long schedules (at least, until the spring/summer 2021 season rolls around).

Take Kaia Gerber, for example. The 18-year-old runway aficionado walked at almost every major show of the season, and expressed her depletion through a set of disease mask selfies, borderline graphic blister close-ups, and The Office memes about cake (swipe through below to see them all).

British model Fran Summers, who walked at CelineBurberry, Chanel, Bottega VenetaMarc Jacobs and many others, also hopped on the Office bandwagon, sharing pictures of a disorientated Michael Scott with the caption: "An accurate depiction of me after fashion month."

Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti's roundup included blurry selfies, slightly lost street-style moments, and demolished hotel room breakfasts.

For Bella Hadid, the days following fashion month were all about self-care, and face-masking the tiredness away.

For her older sister Gigi Hadid, however, the end of fashion week was all about catching up with close friends, and preparing warm, home-cooked meals at her New York City apartment. (No word on whether her superstar boyfriend Zayn Malik scored an invite.)

Korean It-girl HyunJi Shin—who memorably closed Chanel with models Gigi Hadid and Mona Tougaard—doused her tiredness in red wine while emotionally reflecting on a victorious runway season. If any model's post warrants a use of the word 'Mood', it's this one.

Though Miley Cyrus isn't a runway model, and only walked one show (her headline-making surprise appearance at Marc Jacobs during NYFW), the "Slide Away" singer signed off from fashion month with a bang—posting a set of paparazzi selfies that surprisingly haven't been removed by Instagram.

"Swipe right," she wrote, "But hurry. Instagram will definitely be removing this post soon."

What a month it's been.
