Moschino Launches Their Pre-Fall 2023 'M05CH1N0 JEANS' Collection

Italian luxury brand Moschino debuted their "M05CH1N0 JEANS" line today, which consists of ready-to-wear womenswear, hats and bags inspired by denim culture and heritage. The new line reinterprets the 1986 MOSCHINO JEANS line by the House's founder Franco Moschino and pays tribute to the brand's values—tongue-in-cheek irony and cultural symbols as artistic commentary.

Featuring a stone wash, frayed ends and patchwork prints, the collection is aimed at a younger audience with cuts and styles that reflect today's trending up-cycling and thrifting culture while still maintaining the brand's savoir-faire. The idea of the "jean" is not limited to a single style but rather redefined as a statement piece in rock 'n' roll, sports, runway and museum styles. Classic jeans and denim jackets are finished off with the brand's logo and signature peace or love motifs. At the same time, bucket bags and skirts are given an 'upcycled' look with their jean pocket finishes and rivets.

Apart from denim, the collection also includes clothes made from chambray, cotton, jersey, velour and leather. The colour choice of pink, black and red makes the pieces wearable, functional and easy to style with existing pieces from one's wardrobe.

In a statement about the new collection, former creative director of the brand Jeremy Scott said, “TRUST ME, YOU WON’T WANT ANYONE COMING BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR M05CH1N0 JEANS.” The collection is now available both in stores and online.
