Who among us would ever willingly enter New York City's Transit Museum without some kind of incentive? Moschino's creative director, Jeremy Scott, provided such yesterday, choosing the historic subway venue as the catwalk for Moschino's pre-fall 2020 womenswear and fall 2020 menswear show.

Using New York City subways as the backdrop for a fashion show is hardly new. The idea is easily tired, with cheesy aphorisms like "The street is the runway" and "Only in New York!" But Scott knows the city, having studied at the Pratt Institute, located mere blocks away from the MTA's Transit Museum. And to know New York means to know grit and nuance, as typified in yesterday's collection of pinned-up leather jackets, oversized color-blocked puffers, metallic evening gowns, cartoonishly large handbags and hats, and even Timberland-esque heels. Models strutted down the makeshift platform and through the still train cars as attendees like Madelaine Petsch and Kacey Musgraves watched from the sidelines.

"I wanted to offer a little bit of everything," said Scott in a statement. "A round-the-clock set of ensembles for city girls and guys who aren't afraid to go from the ballroom to the back room, then watch the sun come up over the East River. There's nowhere else in the world where you get that kind of energy and magic!"
