Michael Kors is taking back America. The Young People’s Chorus of New York sang Americana songs like notables by Simon and Garfunkel and “America the Beautiful” next to the water at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The look was nautical meets ‘40s, a time when women went to work to help keep the country afloat amidst the upheaval of WWII. There were also cashmere knits with the word “hate” crossed out, some punchy lemon prints, and standout suiting. The word of the day was optimism, not an easy one to embrace, but nice to see nonetheless.
