Tory Burch's Fall collection met at the intersection of street style, Eric Rohmer's 1972 film Love in the Afternoon and Burch's childhood love of horseback riding. That all added up to a Parisian equestrian vibe with a '70s bent—all of which primed for a solid photo.
There were Tory Sport pieces woven throughout proving the power of athleisure—a color blocked polo can be worn with a tennis mini or a sweeping suede skirt. A '70s ready shoulder bag and knee high boots finished the look.
A skirt suit added polished appeal in blue wool jacquard layered with a turtleneck underneath. A waist bag showed Burch's eye for fun trend details while an update on the Reva flat proved this designer knows her loyalist fans—and customers.
That streetwear kicked up a notch in cropped medium wash denim worn with a silk button down and a gray and green shearling bomber, worn with smart loafers. We can almost hear the camera clicks.
Burch finished the lineup with some bohemian evening wear—perfect for those late summer weddings when only muted color-blocked open back lace will do. In other words, the Tory girl is wardrobed from the tennis court to evening cocktails and all the other photo ops in-between come fall.
