Calvin Klein Underwear Launches An Andy Warhol-Inspired Capsule Collection

Since taking over the reins at Calvin Klein, Raf Simons is putting the brand's American roots under the spotlight. Besides updating its name to Calvin Klein 205W39NYC to reiterate its history, Simons has also tapped on the talents of American artists such as Sterling Ruby (who also happens to be a long-time collaborator) to complement his redefinition of Americana at the brand. Most notably, Simons has partnered with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and utilised some of Warhol's acclaimed works as prints in the ready-to-wear collection.

Besides dresses and denim jackets, the prints have also found their way to the Calvin Klein Underwear range as part of a new special capsule collection.

The brand's signature underwear styles in white cotton are printed with black-and-white stills from Warhol's Kiss, a rule-breaking experimental film from 1963 that features 12 couples engaged in a passionate, three-and-a-half minute kiss.

The capsule range will include cotton briefs for men, cotton bralettes for women, as well as unisex t-shirts and tank tops.
