Shoe designer Gherado Felloni is only the third person ever to take up the role of creative director at Roger Vivier—a fact that doesn't faze him. "Roger Vivier is my aesthetic", said Felloni in an interview with Forbes. It was interesting to see how Felloni would weave Vivier's aesthetic with his own, heralding a new era for the iconic French shoe brand. In the past year, we've seen him revisiting past signature Roger Vivier shoes and updating them via contemporary lenses yet keeping the original appeal of the style alive.

For the French shoe brand's Fall Winter 2019 campaign video titled "Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!", Felloni employs feelings of nostalgia and borrows French filmmaker Charles Pathé’s distinct style of cinematic journalism that combined information and entertainment. The witty and humourous film was shot using a vintage film camera.

The video is set at a Maison, in homage to where fashion shows were held in Paris during the era when the brand was founded. Pauline Jacquard models Courbette Bow pumps, the new I Love Vivier pumps with a leopard print and a low kitten heel, and the Viv’ Tex boots. Viv' Rangers fans will be delighted to see the updated Viv’ Rangers Metal Buckle Loafers making an appearance as well. The Beau Vivier also gets a new look, as shown in the film.

Felloni fulfills his love for cinema by starring in the film alongside brand ambassador Ines de la Fressange, who makes a cameo appearance at the end of the video. French theater performer Angéle Micaux plays the designer's assistant in the film, providing much appreciated camp.
