Koterie Store's Third Anniversary Pop-up Has Exclusive Collaborations And A New Balance Meet-up
The local multi-label boutique is celebrating its third anniversary with a two-day pop-up.
To celebrate its third anniversary, Singaporean streetwear multi-label store, Koterie Store, will be holding a pop-up on 25 and 26 November. The two-day event, held at ShouShan ArtSpace, will see the launch of Koterie Store’s new varsity-inspired collection; exclusive collections from Chinese label BOHRHOO and homegrown brand The Everyday Club; apparel from international labels like PIN SKTBS, Tanoxi, and UNBENT; as well as collaborations with renowned brands including New Balance.

Leading up to the event, the Koterie Store team has been announcing apparel and collaboration drops daily on Instagram. There will be a slew of activities to look forward to, such as a first-come-first-serve free styling session (only on 25 November), free hand pours and cold brews from Equate Coffee, as well as Heineken beer with a minimum purchase from the store (on both days).
The New Balance fans meet-up, meanwhile, is scheduled for 25 November between 1-3 PM, and includes the hosting of a meet-up for Singapore-based New Balance collective, the NB+65 community. “Since the beginning, curating brands for our community has taught us that good collaborations can influence consumers’ perspectives. And we are greatly honoured and excited to partner with New Balance to bring that impact and value to our community,” said Jeremy Tan, co-founder of Koterie Store.

The renowned celebrity stylist made his name in the industry by dressing some of Singapore's biggest and most beloved names, as well as international stars. From Zoe Tay to Kit Chan to Du Juan, Tan's signature glammed-up look has appeared on local and international red carpets over the past decades that he’s been working in fashion.
His curation for Koterie Store, on the other hand, reflects his personal style. Tan counts Nick Wooster, the American fashion consultant, as his style inspiration and constantly revisits Tokyo for its fashion and food.

Ahead of the pop-up, we caught up with Tan to share more about Koterie Store’s anniversary and the pop-up initiative.
How did Koterie Store come about?
"Coterie" means a group of people coming together with a common interest. So, we started Koterie Store with the idea of allowing people to go beyond just simply buying clothes for the sake of it or to chase trends.
With decades of fashion styling experience and our passion for streetwear, Yong [co-founder of Koterie Store] and I started Koterie Store in 2020 to answer one most commonly-asked questions: “Where can we get timeless, quality streetwear that won't break the bank in Singapore?”
How would you describe Koterie Store in one sentence?
The right clothes for the right people.

Looking back, after three years, what have been some highlights from this experience? And what are you excited about next?
Firstly, we have had the opportunity to work with brands like Equate Coffee, Cloud, New Balance and The Everyday Club. Secondly, using our platform to donate regularly for The Food Bank Singapore. Thirdly, we introduced more of our own designs to suit our local market needs. And lastly, we are starting to gain awareness from likeminded crowds from overseas: Bangkok, Japan and America.
Where do you see Koterie Store heading next?
We hope to reach out to more people, for them to have the habit of dressing up. And to communicate that the idea of dressing up is not as difficult as what a lot of people think. Everyone can look good and stylish. We believe that everyone has their own distinct style and colour, and we wanted to help our community, our coterie, to discover the awesome feeling of dressing well every day.
The Koterie Store anniversary special pop-up is at ShouShan ArtSpace at #06-06 MAPEX, 37 Jalan Pemimpin, on 25 and 26 November, 12pm-7pm.
