Escape To The English Countryside With Longchamp
For winter 2025, the Parisian brand takes us on a trip to London and its countryside through its reimagined Le Roseau bags.
As seasons change and we inch towards the end of the year, many of us are looking forward to idyllic getaways for a much-needed breather. In the same spirit of creativity and travel, Longchamp takes us on a getaway to London and the picturesque English countryside, specifically the Cotswolds, for its winter 2025 collection.
Inspired by the narrative of French-meets-English countryside, Longchamp’s Le Roseau bags mirror the essence of the connection with clean lines, an air of effortlessness, and a earthy colour palette of olive, root, bark, and black. The brand has even dreamed up a special collaboration to cement this collection.

The Main Character
Boasting four generations of fashion heritage, Longchamp’s mastery of leather is second to none—and the emblematic Le Roseau bag is proof of its proficiency. Designed over 30 years ago for women on-the-go, this bag is modern yet timeless. Crafted from supple calf leather, which acquires a beautiful patina over time, the Le Roseau bag is stylish and spacious. Marked by its signature bamboo clasp, every detail is lovingly handcrafted by skilled leatherworkers.
The latest iteration of the Le Roseau bags include new shades of leather, in addition to the classic tones. “Variations on Le Roseau bag are a way of exploring the full scope of our leather savoir-faire,” explains Longchamp’s creative director Sophie Delafontaine.
“Sometimes, just one detail changes everything: a bamboo clasp in maple-wood as a tribute to cabinetmakers, a natural cotton canvas that recalls a painter’s smock, a colour palette inspired by ceramics.
“With Le Roseau, Longchamp becomes part of a whole family of artisans.”

A Utilitarian Twist
Le Roseau x Gloverall top handle bag, LONGCHAMP.
This season, Longchamp has collaborated with British outerwear label Gloverall to create a special capsule collection.
With the surplus of military coats in the ’50s, Gloverall saw the potential of the utilitarian staple of duffle coats, refined them with expert craftsmanship and well-considered elements, and have been a pioneer of the industry ever since.
Inspired by the clean lines of duffle coats, the collaboration between the two heritage brands sees Longchamp’s timeless Le Roseau bags reimagined in signature Gloverall wool, secured with a wooden bamboo toggle and complete with leather top handles. The Longchamp x Gloverall Le Roseau bags are gender neutral and ultra versatile, and can effortlessly transition between the city and country, no matter your fit.
