The red carpet at the Oscars 2026 delivered the kind of fashion spectacle that only Hollywood’s biggest night can produce as stars gather to celebrate the best movies of the year. Because if the awards season is a marathon of gowns and tuxedos, the Oscars remain the grand finale—where the industry’s most influential names arrive dressed not just for the cameras, but for fashion history.

This year’s carpet struck a particularly compelling balance between classic movie-star glamour and a sharper, more individualistic approach to dressing. Some leaned into the timeless codes of Hollywood elegance—think sweeping gowns, impeccable tailoring, and silhouettes designed to command a staircase entrance. Others embraced fashion as character work, using the red carpet as an opportunity to project personality, subversion, or a hint of theatrical drama.

Standouts ranged from Teyana Taylor’s fearless sense of style to Nicole Kidman’s enduring mastery of red-carpet poise. Jessie Buckley brought a dose of modern polish courtesy of Chanel, while Mia Goth delivered frothy romance in Dior. On the menswear front, Paul Mescal underscored once again why he’s become one of fashion’s most interesting leading men in Celine, while Michael B Jordan’s appearance in Louis Vuitton was equal parts dapper and cool.

From statuesque gowns to razor-sharp tailoring, these were the looks that truly stole the spotlight.

Irish actor Paul Mescal opted for a Celine suit from Michael Rider for his appearance at the awards ceremony.
